The wait is finally over!

Tomorrow is the first round of the E36 Race Series in New South Wales. This project was hatched by David Bailey and Adam Hughes, two very experienced operators in grassroots level motorsport. Lots of testing and planning has been done behind the scenes to create a category of motorsport that is affordable to the average punter based on a very successful formula in the UK, The Nankang Tyre BMW Compact Cup.

The series for 2019 will comprise of 6 sprint rounds and 3 enduro rounds. The season opener will be on the 3rd of February at Wakefield Park Raceway, a short drive south of Goulburn, a town steeped in motorsport history where the very first Australian Grand Prix for motor cars was held in January 1927.

Wakefield Park Raceway

Interesting Fact:

Wakefield Park Raceway was named after Charles Cheers Wakefield, the founder or Castrol Oil to honour Castrol's influence helping amateurs go racing. It's the perfect place for our new series to begin as quite a few amateurs will be racing for the very first time. Good luck boys!

There will be 4 cars on the grid tomorrow for the first race, no doubting this number will grow as the series progresses throughout the year. I'm building a car myself that's in the final stages of the build and I know of a few others in build that shouldn't be too far away from hitting the track.

I'll do my best to keep you all updated with series news on our Facebook page and regular blog posts and race reports on this website.

See you at the track!
